My First School Preschool Staff
Kelly Mayle has served as the director of My First School since August 2013. In addition to her heart for children, Kelly has earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University.
She has worked with children at a number of levels, including substitute teaching, tutoring, and as an assistant director of a preschool/childcare center in Aurora for six years prior to coming on staff at First Baptist Church of Aurora.
In addition to serving as the My First School Director, Kelly and her husband, David, are active members at First Baptist Church of Aurora and serve in our Upward Basketball program, in our summer sports camp, and in our nursery.
Kelly and her husband (along with their three children) live in Mantua. She loves spending quality time with her family, is an avid reader, and enjoys outdoor activities.
Sara Mulcahy is one of our Pre-K teachers, serving at My First School each day of the school week. She enjoys working with preschoolers because they are full of imagination and excited to learn new things. Sara has been on staff at My First School since 2008.
Sara lives in Aurora Shores with her husband, Mike, and their three boys. In her spare time, Sara likes to read and put her creativity to use through crafting.
Miranda Krzeminski is one of our Pre-K teachers and is thrilled to be teaching Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at My First School. Miranda has a bachelors degree from Ohio University in Early Childhood Education and has previously taught both 2nd grade and Kindergarten. Miranda lives to watch the excitement on a child's face as they explore something new or the pride in their eyes when they master a task by themselves for the first time! Miranda strives to always provide a fun, safe, warm, loving classroom in which all children are inspired to learn, grow, and develop a life-long love of learning!
Miranda lives in Twinsburg with her husband and 4 children, three of which attend My First School. She loves yoga, the beach, and spending time with her family going on adventures and exploring the outdoors.

Shelli Fergis is one of our Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3’s and 4’s teacher and Tuesday & Thursday 2's & 3's teacher. Shelli loves working with preschoolers because of their genuine honesty and enthusiasm for the little things. She has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Southern Polytechnic State University.
Shelli lives in Mantua with her husband and 4 children. She loves reading, spending time with her family, driving, and mowing the lawn.
Melody Puleo is our 2's & 3's aide. Melody and her husband, Larry, live in Streetsboro with their two children. Melody loves to volunteer at her kids' schools. She is very excited to be a part of My First School, where both of her children attended.
Sharon Marquis is our treasurer. She handles payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. If you have a question about finances, Sharon is the "go to" person.
Sharon lives in Twinsburg with her granddaughter. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Crystal Hatfield is our Communications Specialist. Crystal lives in Garrettsville with her husband, Jeff, and their five children. Crystal and her family are members of First Baptist Church. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Communication at Ohio University in 1998. Crystal enjoys cooking, coaching Upward sports, camping, and cycling.

Julie Kaiser is our Assistant Director and Lead Pre-K teacher. She believes that children are a great blessing from God and should be treasured. Julie has been on staff at My First School since 2011 and is nearing the completion of her CDA.
Julie lives in Garrettsville with her husband and their three children. In her spare time, Julie works on her family's farm and is very active in her church in Mantua.

Janet Usher is one of our Pre-K teachers, teaching at My First School all-day every Tuesday and Thursday. She is very excited to watch her children learn and grow this school year. Janet has earned her teaching degree from Kent State University and served as a local elementary school teacher for 31 years. She has been teaching Pre-K at My First School since 2013, but has previously served as our music teacher.
Janet lives in Mantua with her husband, David. They have two grown children and five grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys reading, canning fruits & vegetables, and spending time with her family.

Christine Walton is one of our Monday through Friday 3's and 4's teacher. Christine loves watching a child's face light up when he or she is exploring something new. She has worked with children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years old in her 8 years of preschool experience. She has a BS in early childhood education from Bowling Green State University and has also worked for 1.5 years as an assistant director.
Mrs. Walton lives in Ravenna with her husband, daughter and son. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, crafting, and gardening.
Christie DeToro is our 2's and 3's and Pre-K aide. Christie lives in Streetsboro with her husband and three children. She studied at Kent State University. Christie loves teaching children the truth's of God's Word and is excited to be a part of our wonderful Christian pre-school. Christie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and volunteering at her children's schools.

Ginger Jaehn is our Monday - Friday 2's & 3's teacher, previously she served as an aide in that classroom. She loves working with preschoolers because she sees God at work in their little faces. If only everyone could possess this "faith like a child." Ginger has been on staff at My First School since 2009.
Ginger lives in Mantua with her husband, Steve, and their two children. She enjoys woodworking, reading, and crocheting.
Our Pastor, Drew Carroll, joined our staff in September, 2005 as our Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Assimilation, quickly becoming our Associate Pastor, and then becoming our Pastor in 2009. Drew has also served on the My First School Board since 2008, serving as the Chair of the Board for five years. Drew is graduate of the local Aurora School District (where he met his wife, Megan, in the sixth grade at Harmon Middle School!) and Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH (majoring in Pre-Seminary Bible). He is also actively pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree, studying via correspondence at Southern Seminary.
Prior to coming on staff, he was a pastoral intern at his home church (Faith Baptist Church in Streetsboro, OH) and owned a small pressure washing business.
Pastor Drew enjoys sports, gardening, reading, playing guitar, watching movies, fountain pens, and his family, including his three children.
Pastor Drew serves as the chair of the My First School Preschool Board.
