Over the past decade we have seen significant changes in how money is used in our society. New advances in technology have made paper checks less relevant and they are creeping closer to extinction. In addition, many young adults & families rely less and less on cash and use their debit cards for most transactions.  Cornerstone Church of Aurora has recognized this "cashless" trend and we are happy to announce that online giving is now available to our church family.  By registering for online giving, you can now securely make donations via the First Baptist website, email, or cell phone text, plus many more features that you will want to explore.  Setting up your account is a simple process.  There are already many in our church family who have been using this Online Giving system successfully and report that they enjoy the ease, convenience, and flexibility that it offers.  Read the information below, watch the "how to" videos, and learn more about this new avenue for intentional giving to support our church family.

Cornerstone's Online Giving is facilitated by the Mogiv System, a secure, powerful portal for transmitting resources from giving hearts, at any location 24 hours a day.  In our culture of mobility and technology, every person can give ... anywhere ... anytime.  

How do I get a receipt for my donation?
The Mogiv System will email you a receipt for each gift that you make.  Receipts and giving reports can also be printed from the Mogiv dashboard at any time. All donations to the Cornerstone General Fund are tax deductible.

How soon will Cornerstone Church receive my financial gift?
Depending on your method of payment, it takes anywhere from 2 to 7 days for funds to arrive in our bank account. Funds are settled directly into our designated bank account.

Can I really give any amount?
The Mogiv System allows you to make donations of $1.00 or more.

How do I get started?
Getting started is quick and easy. Simply visit our giving page to create a Cornerstone Church Online Giving Account and give immediately.

How do I give via my mobile phone? 
To initiate a gift from your phone to Cornerstone, simply send a text message to fbcaurora@mogiv.com with the amount as the message.  For example, to contribute $25 to the Cornerstone Church of Aurora general fund, you would text:

     "20" to fbcaurora@mogiv.com

It's that simple. We'll send you a confirmation text to make sure we got your request right. You will confirm on the Mogiv website the first time you give, then with subsequent contributions you simply text back a "Y" confirming your donation and a receipt will be emailed to you.

If sending a text message to an email address is new to you, don't worry, it's easy to do. 

How much does it cost donors to use the Mogiv system?
The Mogiv system is free to use for givers. There is no cost to have a Mogiv account and no cost or fee to you in making an online or mobile phone donation.  

Does it cost Cornerstone Church anything if I give online?
Yes, there are small fees, but we think it is wise stewardship to pay the fees in order to make it more convenient for you to give. You can help cover those fees by adding 3% to your donation.

For each transaction, Mogiv charges us approximately 1% for withdrawals from your bank account or approximately 3% from your credit or debit card. With that in mind, you can reduce fees to the church by:

  • Giving from your checking account rather than using Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. 
  • Giving one large gift per month, rather than several smaller gifts.
  • Choose to cover the merchant fees personally by adding 1% (for gifts from your checking account) or 3% (for gifts from your credit/debit card).
